Facebook declared Monday that Nancy Killefer and Tracey Travis are becoming a member of the company’s board of administrators, boosting its female presence to 40%.
Killefer was a longtime director at McKinsey & Business and held various U.S. authorities roles. Travis is Estee Lauder’s chief finance officer and served on the board at Accenture. Travis will serve as a member of the Audit & Chance Oversight Committee of the Board, powerful March 9, 2020.
Killefer and Travis will sign up for current board customers Fb COO Sheryl Sandberg and PayPal’s senior vice president of core markets Peggy Alford, bringing the overall quantity of gals to four. There are six male administrators on the board.
“We have a whole lot we will need to get done in the coming decades and I assume their knowledge is heading to be quite worthwhile,” Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg claimed in a push launch. “They’re both of those extremely achieved company leaders and I’m hunting forward to performing with them.”
Facebook’s board has built a handful of leadership variations in excess of the previous year. Dropbox CEO Drew Houston joined the company’s board in February. The go came after Netflix CEO Reed Hastings and Erskine Bowles, president emeritus of the University of North Carolina, left the board last April.
