Grossman joined Tommy Hilfiger in 1988, close to the time that Hong Kong billionaire Silas Chou invested in the enterprise. “It was on a path and a trajectory for dynamic development. Another rocket ship … I imagine it is why I are inclined to go (for) superior advancement or transformative organizations, mainly because I enjoy that experience,” Grossman claimed.

But Grossman wasn’t happy. She did not like the tradition of the business, which was accredited to clothing organization Warnaco at the time. “And I went in and resigned to the CEO. And at a single place she seemed (at) me and claimed, ‘Are you resigning?’ And I reported, ‘Yes, I am.’ And she stated, ‘Well, you might be both independently wealthy, you have an additional work, or you happen to be stupid.’ I reported, ‘Or D, none of all those above.’ And I was escorted out by security that afternoon.”

A couple of days later, Lauren and Strom known as to offer her a role as vice president of new company improvement, and she made denim line Polo Jeans Business, a manufacturer licensed to apparel organization Sunshine Clothing.
